FD-Worlds / Steinhuder Meer

Small Preview from the FD-Worlds. Lots of participants with more than 100 FDs, only – the weather conditions were kind of difficult to deal with: “sun shine or wind” and not: “sun shine and wind”. It clearly makes a difference for these kind of regatta shootings. Also the forecast was crazy for these days changing with 4hour intervals. Not so easy to plan anything :) . In doubt: – go for wind – and that worked quite right. There are always pro and cons for all weather conditions – some special circumstance of this WM however made it a wee bit more complex to get perfect shots – the “left-from-starting-line area” was a no-go zone for the fotogees – guess under these restrictions only the racing committee could do these starting line shots for the news-papers ;).
